MuFan (David) Hsiao is a licensed acupuncturist by the Texas State Board of Acupuncture Examiners, and is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as a diplomate in Oriental Medicine (O.M.) .  

His undergraduate work was in the field of Chinese medicine. He began his in-depth study of Chinese Medicine Resources in 2003 when he enrolled at China Medical University, one of the leading universities of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Taiwan.

After getting his bachelor’s degree, he served in the army and fulfilled his military obligation as a medical officer in Taiwan. He assisted injured soldiers to hospitals for treatment and provided first aid in urgent cases.

After his military discharge, he continued his studies in the field of Chinese medicine and attended the Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine,  the oldest TCM college in Texas, where he received his Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.  

After becoming a Texas-licensed acupuncturist, he has continued learning different kinds of acupuncture techniques and integrates them into his practice.

He has been practicing since 2012 in San Antonio, Houston, and Austin, and has performed over 14,000 acupuncture treatments for his patients.
